Vessel Crew & Safe Manning

Menu: Marine › Vessel Crew & Safe ManningPackage: Marine

Vessel Crew & Minimum Manning shows, for the vessel you select, the requirements of the minimum safe manning document (SMD), the seafarers assigned to them, their STCW competency and medical certificates, and their MLC rest records. The badge at the top says whether the vessel is Ready to sail or Sailing blocked, with the reason beside it if blocked.

The same sailing readiness check is made when a Sea Trial / Delivery work order is started for a vessel: it cannot be started if there is no SMD requirement in force, if a position is not filled by an eligible seafarer, if a seafarer’s medical or STCW certificate is invalid, if a foreign seafarer’s work permit is past its legal extension, or if the latest rest record contains a violation.
